About our activities / service

Accessibility details Access to the service is through Personal Budgets, Direct payments or commissioning by the Local Authority and CCG`s. Packages can also be self funded. The centre has access to a lift for the first floor, transport is also available
Opening hours Monday to Sunday
Monday to Sunday 8.30 am - 9.00 pm

SAFS provide care and support services to adults with disabilities including care provided in the home, care in the community and PA support to access universal services. Centre based services are also available where the adults can engage in daily living skills and leisure activities on a one to one or group basis. Social activities are also provided to support adults in engaging with peers and members of the community as well as providing positive personal outcomes. Exercise and sport activities are also identified with the individual to maintain their health and wellbeing. Specialist personal care is available for adults with physical disabilities and complex health needs. Staff are trained in undertaking specialist personal care such as giving medication; tube feeding, Buccal Medazolam, oral and palliative care, catheters and stoma and oxygen therapy. A short breaks respite service is offered to support parents and enable them to have some time for themselves. The care and support provided is tailored to the specific needs of the individual and enables them to be as independent as they can be.

Staff qualifications We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and have a 3* excellent rating; we are also OFSTED registered and achieved a good rating; all standards are monitored and achieved, we have also achieved PQASSO Level 3. Care Staff/PA`s are qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Care/Play work, Managers are qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Care and Leadership Management , NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care SAFSS works to the Personalisation and Putting People First Agenda We have been awarded the Central England Care Provider awards as well the West Midlands Regional Care awards
