The healthy cooking class runs every Thursday from 12:30pm at SYCC and is an excellent opportunity for individuals to learn about different types of healthy meals and how to prepare them. The class is led by teachers who demonstrates how to cook various types of healthy meals. During the class, students have the opportunity to help the teacher prepare the meal and gain hands-on experience in the kitchen. The teacher walks the students through the recipe, explaining each step and providing tips on how to make the meal as healthy as possible. Students are also able to ask questions and receive guidance on how to modify the recipe to suit their own dietary needs. As the meal is cooking, the students are able to watch the teacher in action and learn new cooking techniques. The teacher also explains the nutritional value of the ingredients and how they benefit the body. This helps students to understand how to make healthy choices when it comes to their own meals. At the end of the class, the students have the opportunity to taste the meal they helped to prepare. This allows them to experience the flavours and textures of the dish and see how their efforts have paid off. Participants are provided with recipes to take home, allowing them to recreate healthy meals and continue cooking nutritious dishes for themselves. Overall, the healthy cooking class is a fantastic way for individuals to learn about healthy eating, gain cooking skills, and enjoy delicious food. #SHIP
